VMCLC HISTORY

In 1979 Dr. Martin P. Posadas and Dr. Rosalina Quebral Posadas, founders of the Virgen Milagrosa Educational Institutions (VMEI), (now VMUF) established a special type of school for children with ages ranging from 4 to 5 years old.

A year after, in 1980, the need to accommodate the kinder children became a felt need, hence the organization of a Grade One class. Since then, new grades had been added every year. Simultaneously a one-storey 8-room building, with other facilities, was constructed by the administration. Finally, in March 1986, the first nine (9) Grade Six pupils graduated.

Government recognition for the Nursery and Kindergarten, and Grades I to III was granted in 1984 and in June 1985, Grades IV and VI was recognized.

It has a functional Parents Teachers Association (PTA).

Since 1986 to the present, the VMCLC have shown remarkable accomplishment in the field of Education for almost especially so in the National Elementary Achievement Test. At present the Virgen Milagrosa Child Learning Center is housed at the first floor of  the Dr. Martin P. Posadas Memorial Stadium with a well-ventilated classrooms and well-equipped facilities. Now, the PTA is changed to Parents Teachers and Child Association (PTCA) which aimed on a closer coordination with the parents.
